3 Players returning from long term injuries to look out for after the international break

(Football news) Although the international break is often a headache for the clubs where players pick up injuries, it is also a rest period which allows injured players. Here are 3 players who will be returning from injuries to look out for:

Ferland Mendy:

Ferland Mendy hasn't played a game since Real Madrid's UCL Semi final defeat against Chelsea where he picked up a calf injury. Mendy had missed a few games before that due to the same issue as well hence a few reports suggested that he was rushed back for the important game. He was set to return at the start of the season when he relapsed. Mendy is now reported to be in contention to start in Real Madrid's UCL clash against Shakhtar Donetsk. The Frenchman has been an incredible signing for Real Madrid as he managed to bench club legend Marcelo. His return is very good news for Ancelotti who has made it very clear that new signing David Alaba will primarily play at center back. Marcelo is also in the last stages of his recovery so it remains to be seen who the Italian manager chooses as his first choice left back.

Sergio Aguero:

Barcelona's new signing Sergio Aguero is yet to play a single minute in Blaugrana colours. The striker signed for free with Barcelona with an intention of playing with Lionel Messi. Messi's departure combined with his injury woes have meant that Aguero hasn't had a great start to life with the Catalan club. Barcelona are struggling at the moment and if Aguero can start firing like he has done so consistently with Manchester City then their season could still turn around.

Marcus Rashford:

Marcus Rashford is another player who has missed the season so far due to a shoulder injury. The forward is back in training and is expected to be back very soon. Despite the mega signings of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, United have struggled. Jadon Sancho hasn't settled into the side yet. Rashford's return could provide a major boost to the side. Rashford is someone who has admitted to idolising Ronaldo and playing with him may get the best out of the 23 year old which will eventually be beneficial for Manchester United.
