Will Florentino Perez be right to allow the Ultra Surs back for the PSG clash?

(Football news) Real Madrid put in one of their worst UCL performances in Paris against PSG. Despite that they only trail 1-0 in the Round of 16 which isn't too difficult to come back from especially now that the away goals rule doesn't exist. The 2nd leg at the Santiago Bernabeu will be very crucial and one very interesting report has emerged. The reports state that President Florentino Perez has decided to allow Real Madrid's infamous Ultra Sur back into the stadium for that match.

The Ultra Surs are passionate Real Madrid fans who are known for being extremely right wing. They are often described as racists, homophobes and fascists among other things. Long ago one of the leaders of the Ultras was arrested for chanting pro-Nazi chants during a game and also waving flags of Adolf Hitler. After being pressured by FIFA and UEFA, Perez had to put a ban on the Ultra Surs in 2014. Since then the Santiago Bernabeu hasn't been the stadium that intimidates opponents like the Anfield.

The Ultras are definitely missed for the hostile environment they create for opponents and how they always support the team no matter what. When Perez banned the fan group they responded by putting graffiti on not only his house but also his wife's grave. Since then Real Madrid are said to have unofficial ties with the Ultra Surs with Perez allowing them back for a few important matches like the one against Wolfsburg when Real Madrid turned around a two goal deficit to win the tie and also games against PSG and Juventus in the UCL.

With Real Madrid trailing against the mighty PSG, the Bernabeu needs to be more vocal than ever. The few times Perez has brought the Ultra Surs back, it has worked in the teams favour. The advantage of allowing them back for one game is that the atmosphere will be electric as above all the Ultra Surs are die hard Real Madrid fans. The drawback is that it is morally as wrong as it could get, especially in today's world. Bringing back Ultra Surs could bring back racism, facism and homophobia back into the Santiago Bernabeu which spoils Real Madrid's global brand. If there are any offensive chants then Real Madrid could face trouble from UEFA and FIFA as they are already in their bad books after the Super League saga.

Above everything, the Real Madrid players have to perform better than they have been recently. That is ultimately what matters and will decide the outcome of the tie. Los Blancos have important clashes against Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad before the 2nd leg which promises to be a nail biting fixture.
