(Motorsports news) After the race, Williams drivers Logan Sargeant and Alex Albon required medical attention, and most drivers acknowledged it was the most difficult event they had ever engaged in. The race’s calendar placement, six weeks sooner than the debut Qatar GP in 2021 and thus guaranteeing hotter temperatures, drew a lot of criticism.

However, the date has already been set for 2024, with the event rescheduled for December 1. The FIA announced on the Monday following the race that it has “begun an analysis into the situation in Qatar to provide recommendations for future situations of extreme weather conditions.”

Domenicali then wrote to GPDA chairman Alex Wurz, congratulating the drivers for their efforts in Qatar and praising them as wonderful athletes. He also stated that the schedule for this season was inevitable, and reminded them that the date for next year has been changed. The GPDA welcomed Domenicali’s prompt reaction, and there has been continued communication between the Italian and Wurz on the topic.

“Domenicali reached out to us very quickly after the race,” Wurz explained. “As is his wont, Domenicalli personally engages with the GPDA. His letter to us was educational, indicating that he and everyone appreciated how difficult the race was, and informing the drivers that the next Qatar F1 event will be at a later period.

“After initially informing the media about the investigation, the FIA has also contacted us.” We have begun exchanging ideas and proposals and have a shared willingness to investigate the situation and debate what is required in a thoughtful and rational manner.

“Of course, there was some discussion going on together, and also with the GPDA,” Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu explained. “A lot of drivers obviously put some complaints, as well as some advice for the future. Of course, there was some discussion going on together, and also with the GPDA.”

“And you, too, are pushing. I believe that the change in tyre regulations on Sunday also made a major impact since normally you’re looking after your tyres, so you’re not really pushing 100% the entire race, because you can’t with the Pirelli tyres.
