Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals

(Cricket news) After beating UP Warriorz, Mumbai Indians will face Delhi Capitals in the finals. The two games between these two sides have both been one sided affairs. Mumbai Indians won the first match by 8 wickets with 5 overs to spare while Delhi Capitals won the other game by 9 wickets with 11 overs to spare. The two teams were level on points in the group stage with NRR being the only difference. It is very difficult to predict the result as both teams are very strong and have been performing really well throughout this tournament.

Mumbai Indians ideal playing XI:

Hayley Matthews, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Nat Sciver-Brunt, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Amelia Kerr, Pooja Vastrakar, Issy Wong, Humaira Kazi, Amanjot Kaur, Jintimani Kalita, Saika Ishaque

Bench:

Dhara Gujjar, Heather Graham, Chloe Tryon, Sonam Yadav, Neelam Bisht, Priyanka Bala

Mumbai Indians are likely to retain the same line-up unless there are any injuries. The English duo of Nat Sciver-Brunt and Issy Wong are coming into the game in red hot form. Sciver-Brunt was the player of the match in the Semi final while Wong took an incredible hat-trick in the game. Delhi Capitals has a very potent seam bowling attack with Shikha Pandey, Marizanne Kapp and Arundhati Reddy which will challenge Mumbai Indians in a way that UP Warriorz couldn’t.

Delhi Capitals ideal playing XI:

Meg Lanning (c), Shafali Verma, Alice Capsey, Jemimah Rodrigues, Marizanne Kapp, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Jess Jonassen, Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy, Shikha Pandey, Poonam Yadav

Bench:

Laura Harris, Tara Norris, Jasia Akhtar, Minnu Mani, Aparna Mondal, Titas Sadhu, Sneha Deepthi

Delhi Capitals as well are likely to retain the same XI. Poonam Yadav came into the line-up later in this tournament and she hasn’t picked up a single wicket yet. The leggie didn’t even get to bowl a single over in the last game but she should still keep her place in the XI. Her wrist spin could be very useful especially if Mumbai get a partnership going. If the conditions need a 4th seamer then Tara Norris can come into the XI.
