RR completely outplay SRH to register their first win

(Cricket news) Rajasthan Royals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 61 runs to register their first win this season's IPL. It was a team performance by RR who displayed their prowess while SRH looked below par. It was also the first time this season that a team that won the toss lost the game and also the first time this season that a team was successful in defending a total.

Batting first, Rajasthan Royals posted 210 runs with captain Sanju Samson scoring 55 off 27 balls. Josh Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer played good cameos to get RR to that total. Devdutt Padikkal surprisingly came to bat at number 4 and did a very good job of scoring a quickfire 41. As for SRH the most bizarre part was that they bowled 4 no balls in the powerplay itself. One of which got Jos Buttler’s wicket early which could've changed the game completely. SRH missed a trick or two in the game as despite picking up wickets at regular intervals they couldn't stop the flow of runs.

Chasing 211, Hyderabad never looked up for it. Kane Williamson was controversially given out when he was caught by Padikkal at first slip. The ball looked to have fallen just short but the 3rd umpire ruled it out. Aiden Markaram scored an unbeaten 57 runs off 41 but the innings was very slow and wasn't anywhere near what was needed. The only SRH batter who showed some intent was Washington Sundar as he smashed 40 off just 14 balls. Sundar, batting at number 8 is way too low for someone of his ability. The Sunrisers camp has a lot of thinking to do before their next match.
