Partnership between Cricket Ireland and MSG to benefit Irish cricket from international to grassroot level

(Cricket news) Sports equipment supplier Mansfield Sports Group (MSG) and Cricket Ireland have entered a partnership in a deal in which cricket equipment will be available for men’s and women’s international teams while discounts and preferential pricing will be given to the clubs and Provincial Unions.

The deal will see MSG:

1) Become an official supplier to Cricket Ireland for the next three seasons, including the supply of cricket coaching balls, coaching and cricket equipment (e.g. RoboArm, FlexiStump, CatchBat) and bowling machines;

2) Provide training balls for teams at trade price;

3) To sponsor eight players from the National Talent Pathway Squads and Academy with a full set of free equipment;

4) Provide 20 sets of coloured batting pads to Cricket Ireland National teams and other squads; and

5) Provide Grassroots Bowling Machine £500 Funding – each club in Ireland will be allocated a £500 discount towards the purchase of a Master Digi Bowling Machine.

Richard Holdsworth, High Performance Director for Cricket Ireland, said: “It’s an ideal partnership between Cricket Ireland and one of the world’s best coaching equipment providers, and we’ve already seen the national sides benefitting from the equipment throughout 2021. The equipment will help support our elite coaches to prepare the players with high-quality equipment – much of which is both durable and portable – ideal for touring.

“However, this partnership will not just benefit Cricket Ireland, but also the grassroots and provincial structures across Ireland. There will be a number of opportunities for coaches at all levels to take advantage of supplier deals and discounts towards high-quality training assets.”
