Morgan looking for rejuvenation along with captaincy record in 3rd T20

(Cricket news) The third T20 in the England tour of West Indies will see Eoin Morgan captaining the England side for the 73rd time in the shortest format. Morgan will be the most experienced captain when he comes down the field and with a victory will beat Asghar Stanikzai’s record of 42 victories to become the most successful captain in the format.

West Indies did well in both the matches, although they really came close in the second one. Losing the second match may have put them down but also might have helped them especially the lower order which showed what it could do with the bat. Captain Kieron Pollard needs to bring in his power during batting as the team will need him to score runs which he has failed to do so far.

Jason Holder has been spot on with the ball so far, Akeal Hosein was the star performer with the bat he also did his role as a bowler quite well. The bowlers need to bring more control in the death overs like they have been doing it during the power plays. Sheldon Cottrell should be leading the bowling attack as he is the most experienced amongst the bowlers and has taken the most wickets for the team. The pacer has an economy of almost 8 an over and needs to tone that down for full attack.

The England side looks like the Test squad passed the form to the T20 players as they somehow stole victory from the hosts in the previous match. The openers had given the team a suitable start but took too much time to get the big hits going as it leaves even less time for the middle order to strike. The side will have the advantage as it managed a victory and made the series 1-1. There are three matches to go and with one more victory the England side will definitely have the edge over West Indies in the T20 series.

Reece Topley was the only bowler in the previous match to have the economy under 5. The pacer has played 7 T20 matches and has been an expensive bowler but his death over bowling changed the result of the match for the team. Adil Rashid has continued his streak of taking a wicket every time he plays against West Indies in this format, the spinners have done well in the side.

The third T20 match will be played on 26th January at the same ground and the pitch will be accustomed to all the players. West Indies needs a crucial victory or back to back defeats will only push them far and England will be needing a strong win as they have been through a lot in the first two matches.
