Jhulan Goswami prepares for a dream farewell game at Lord’s

(Cricket news) Every cricketer dreams of playing at the home of cricket Lord's. Some players like Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly even get the opportunity to make their debut at Lord's. To play their last international match at Lord's is a dream which Jhulan Goswami will be living. India will be playing the 3rd ODI against England after which Jhulan Goswami will announce her retirement from international cricket. Even though nothing is official, all the players including captain Harmanpreet Kaur have been saying it. India lead the series 2-0 and have a chance to inflict a memorable whitewash on England which will be a perfect way to say goodbye to an icon.

India's ideal playing XI:

Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Harmanpreet Kaur (c ), Harleen Deol, Dayalan Hemalatha, Pooja Vastrakar, Sneh Rana, Jhulan Goswami, Renuka Singh, Rajeshwari Gayakwad

Bench:

Deepti Sharma, Meghna Singh, Simran Bahadur, Taniya Bhatia, S. Meghna

Since the series is already won, India could give Deepti Sharma a breather as she has been playing all the games non stop. The rest of the line-up is likely to remain the same as it looks perfectly balanced. This match is incredibly important for Shafali Verma who hasn't been firing with the willow lately. All eyes will be on Jhulan Goswami as she takes the field as an Indian player for one last time.

England's ideal playing XI:

Tammy Beaumont, Emma Lamb, Sophia Dunkley, Maia Bouchier, Dani Wyatt, Amy Jones, Alice Davidson-Richards, Charlie Dean, Sophie Ecclestone, Kate Cross, Freya Davies

Bench:

Alice Capsey, Lauren Bell, Freya Kemp, Isy Wong

England were far from good in the first two games and they will be looking to make a couple of changes. Davidson-Richards is likely to come back in the side along with Freya Davies and Maia Bouchier. All 3 departments of the home side need to be better than they were. England are missing 3 key players and losing this series isn't the worst thing but they need to give players experience and this above line-up means that all the players in the squad get at least one game.
