ITW Irish Cricket Awards 2021 launched

According to a press release by Cricket Ireland, the ITW Irish Cricket Awards 2021 will be digitally broadcasted on Friday 26 February 2021 through Youtube, featuring two coveted prizes – the Irish men’s and women’s Player of the Decade from 2011-2020. The event will be hosted by sports journalist and broadcaster Marie Crowe, alongside RTE’s John Kenny and former Ireland Men’s captain Kyle McCallan. Additional interviews and content will also be available on Cricket Ireland’s social media during the course of the event. The program will have 14 different award categories presented, across club to national level cricketers and staff. Two special awards will also be presented this year honouring the best players from both men’s and women’s international teams for the last decade. Expert juries were entrusted with this responsibility to shortlist and recommend an overall winner. The nominees for Player of the Decade are: Ed Joyce, Tim Murtagh, Kevin O’Brien,William Porterfield, Paul Stirling Shortlist for the Hanley Energy International Player of the Decade – Women : Laura Delany, Kim Garth, Cecelia Joyce, Isobel Joyce, Clare Shillington
