IPL: Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Rajasthan Royals in match no 40

(Cricket news) In a match where SRH have nothing to lose and Rajasthan have all to play for might turn out to be an intriguing watch. If RR manage to win they will leapfrog to 4th in the table and will be in the contention of making the playoffs whereas for SRH, they are out and will be playing for pride this year.

SRH may opt to bring in Jason Roy in place of David Warner who is continuing to struggle with scoring runs as Roy with his explosive batting style might provide an attacking start for SRH. The team management may also ponder bringing in Kedhar Jadhav to strengthen the middle order as the relative inexperience of Virat Singh and Priyam Garg has cost the team. SRH will again look to Rashid Khan and Jason Holder to get them crucial breakthroughs, the hot temperatures might get the slower bowlers in the game as SRH might use Abdul Samad and other part time slower bowlers to bowl if required. Sandeep Sharma has got Sanju Samson twice in a match up that needs to be kept an eye on.

RR will get a huge injury boost as Evin Lewis and Chris Morris both will be available for selection. One thing over the years Rajasthan batsmen have got right is playing against Rashid Khan. RR will depend on their fast bowlers to provide important wickets like we saw in the match against Punjab Kings. Kumar Sangakkara and co might have a selection headache as they will be tempted to play Shamsi as extra spin bowling options. Again dependency on Samson and Livingston will be there to score some crucial runs in a very important match for them.

Head to head: SRH 7- 7 RR,Last encounter they faced the Royals won by 55 runs. However, in the last 5 encounters Rajasthan have won thrice.
