India look for another whitewash without Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant

(Cricket news) India are eyeing another whitewash this time in the T20Is against West Indies. India won the 1st T20I comfortably and edged a close win in the 2nd one. West Indies are yet to register a win on this tour which is a big concern for them. India on the other hand will be looking to try a few things out tactically and otherwise.

India's Possible Playing XI:

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan(wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj, Avesh Khan.

Bench: Deepak Hooda, Kuldeep Yadav, Deepak Chahar, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been released from the bio bubble to have some time off as both have been constantly playing since the South Africa tour. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Avesh Khan could finally get an opportunity to make an impact on the international stage. Shreyas Iyer is a direct replacement for Virat Kohli while Ishan Kishan will keep his place in the side despite poor form as he is the only gloveman in the squad after Pant's departure.

West Indies possible playing XI:

Brandon King, Kyle Meyers, Romario Shepherd, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Roman Powell, Jason Holder, Akeal Hossein, Odean Smith, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell.

Bench: Darren Bravo, Dominic Drakes, Shai Hope, Hayden Walsh Jr, Fabian Allen.

The balance of the side worked really well for the Windies in the last game which is why they wouldn't be keen on making any changes. Perhaps the opening combination is the one that could be changed in the near future.

India batted second and won in the 1st game after which they batted first and won the 2nd game. They could try and bat 2nd again given the dew situation. One eye will definitely be on the World Cup later this year as Rohit Sharma has said a lot of times. The addition of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami to this squad will only make it better.
