According to a press release by Sydney Sixers, star pacer Mitchell Starc underwent scans on his knees on Tuesday and the results are yet to come. The medical staff will decide on his fitness once the results are assessed and a discussion will be held between Starc and the Sixers to take a call on his availability to play in the team’s remaining games in the Big Bash League. It is very unlikely that Starc will be available to play this weekend. The club denied making any further statement until they have a clarity on Starc’s availability. The tournament favorites and table toppers Sydney Sixers will take on the Perth Scorchers in the playoffs on Saturday, 30 January at the Manuka Oval
