(Cricket news) Pakistan will be ready to face West Indies in a 6 match series which will feature three T20 matches and three ODI’s. All the matches will be played at the National stadium in Karachi, the team had played three years ago at the same venue where Pakistan won all the three T20 matches. Pakistan had defeated Bangladesh two days ago in the Test matches as they will play the first T20 against the West Indies on 13th December.
Mohammad Rizwan
Rizwan has been having a legendary season in the T20 format this year as he became the first batter to score more than 800, 900, 1000 runs in a single season. He has scored 1123 runs in 26 matches with a century and 10 half centuries. The right hander is arguably growing up to be one of the best players in the format, his current form shows that he is not stopping anytime soon. Before this year, he had scored 313 runs in 26 matches and now he has been unstoppable.
Babar Azam
Captain Babar has been the second best batter this season behind his opening partner Rizwan. Azam became the second batter after Rizwan to score 800 runs in a single season, Azam has so far scored 853 runs in 26 matches. He became the first batter to score more than 300 runs in a T20 World Cup this year. Azam is the leading run getter for Pakistan in the format with over 2500 runs in 70 matches.
Haris Rauf
Haris is the second leading wicket taker for the side in the format this year with 22 wickets in 21 matches. The leading wicket taker Hasan Ali has been rested from the series, Haris made his debut last year and has been a vital addition to the team. He is 12 wickets from taking 50 wickets in T20 matches.
Shaheen Afridi
Afridi has been one of the top bowlers for Pakistan in both the Test and T20 format as he has taken 70 wickets this year. In the T20 format, he has taken 19 wickets in 19 matches as his pace has done the trick against the batters. Afridi will be leading the pace attack along with Rauf as they both will be on top especially at home. The venue is suitable for a bowling attack as only the only T20 matches was between these two teams three years ago and it favoured spinners along with the pacers.
