Australia Women win ODI and retain Women’s Ashes

(Cricket news) Australia Women defeated England by 27 runs to win the first Women’s Ashes ODI and go 8-4 up in the multi-format series, thereby retaining the Women’s Ashes. England looked set to give Australia a run for their money after bowling brilliantly and restricting the hosts to 205-9, but Darcie Brown (4-34) and the Australian bowlers took consistent wickets which helped the hosts secure a win.

The second and third ODIs will be played at Junction Oval in Melbourne.
