Rhodes to lead County Select XI against India

Cricket News: India is on course to play a five-match test series against England in the near future and prior to the series, India will play a three-day match against County Select XI. The games will be played as a part of India’s warm-up schedule ahead of the Test series behind closed doors. The match is scheduled for 20 July and will be played at the Emirates Riverside. Richard Dawson (Young Lions head coach) will oversee the County Select XI.

Will Rhodes, the Warwickshire captain, will lead the County Select XI. It also features recent test debutant James Bracey and Haseeb who made his debut against India 5 years back. The squad was prepared after consulting with all the counties and is a great opportunity to test the young talent across the country against the ICC World Test Championship finalists.

Durham County Cricket Club’s Youtube channel will provide a live telecast of the match and ball-by-ball commentary will be available on BBC radio.

County Select XI squad: Will Rhodes (Captain), Rehan Ahmed, Tom Aspinwell, Ethan Bamber, James Bracey, Jack Carson, Zak Chappell, Haseeb Hameed, Lyndon James, Jake Libby, Craig Miles, Liam Patterson-White, James Rew, and Rob Yates.
