PV Sindhu keeps medal hopes alive with a second victory in Tokyo

(Badminton news) Olympics 2021 Live Update: Pusarla Venkata Sindhu made her way through the last 16 with a win over Cheung Ngan Yi at the Tokyo Olympics. All the top players in their respective groups will make it to the last 16 as Sindhu topped group J. She beat Cheung Ngan Yi of China in straight games with a score of 21-9, 21-16. The first game lasted 15 mins as Sindhu did not take much time to find her rhythm, in the second game they were going head to head and at one point it was 14 all. Sindhu then responded by winning the next 7 points out of nine on her way to victory.

Sindhu is one of the leading medal contenders for India, last time In Rio 2016 she had won the Silver medal and this time will look to finish on top and create history.
