Bundesliga: Wolfsburg look to extend their lead at the top as Bayern and Dortmund look for three straight victories

(Football news) This week German football started with Hertha Berlin winning 2-1 against Furth as Wolfsburg look to maintain their perfect start to the season. Dortmund and Bayern will be looking to maintain pressure on Wolfsburg on the top of the table.

Bayern take on VFL Bochum at the Allianz Arena, Nagelsman’s men are back to their ruthless best as they have been destroying every opponent since drawing against Koln. Bayern midweek showed that they mean business as they completely outplayed Barcelona. The German champions will be without Kingsely Coman as he had a heart surgery and will be out for at least 2 weeks. VFL Bochum will face Bayern after a decade and will be hoping that they won't be overwhelmed by Lewandowski and co.

Dortmund take on Union Berlin at home, Marco Rose’s side last week made difficult work of the victory as they came from behind to beat Bayer Leverkusen, Dortmund heading into the game will depend upon their two star players Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland to score the goals as both the players are in immaculate form. Dortmund will be without some key players like Brandt and Hazard as they look to leapfrog the former champions Bayern in the table.

The match of the week is played between the table toppers Wolfsburg and Frankfurt, the wolves will be looking to make it 5 wins out of 5 as this will be the start in the clubs history. The only concern for Wolfsburg will be the injury to their midfield powerhouse Xaver Schlager on the other hand Frankfurt will be fully fit. Perhaps the most noteworthy part of Wolfsburg's game this season has been their defense, which has conceded one goal in the league.

RB Leipzig will be looking to get back to winning ways as they face FC Koln, Marsch will be under pressure to perform as they lost very badly to Bayern and Man City in the champions league. The only positive this week would be Nkunku’s form as he scored a brilliant hattrick midweek against Man City. Leipzig will be without Marcel Halstenburg and Marcelo Saracchi as Szoboszlai might make his first start in the Bundesliga.
